#Qre

The pure
  • With insulating effect for ecological renovation and construction
  • Variable in size and installation depth
  • Especially for old buildings with walls that are to remain natural
  • Heat protection in summer, heat retention in winter due to straw properties
#Qre stores up to
10 kg CO₂ per m²

Product description #Qre

The #Qre (pronounced “Cure”) plaster base mat is the natural product for walls, roofs, ceilings and floors. Its construction depth is 10 cm, but it can be applied in several layers. The specific weight of (8 kg/m2) allows easy fixing with dowels. #Qre is available in widths of 1.20 m or 0.60 m.

Construction method
  • Machine-pressed and quilted straw mat
  • With plaster base on one side ex works
  • With insulating properties
Assembly
  • Quick and easy to install
  • Can be plastered or planked immediately
  • Sizes and depth variable depending on the condition of the existing wall
  • Easy to work with
Environmental aspects
  • Completely degradable and recyclable
  • Wood and straw store CO2
  • Tested free of harmful substances
  • Insulating effect more regulating than insulating

Product advantages and
special features #Qre

Simple installation, additional insulating properties that also provide heat protection in summer – the #Qre plaster base mat made from quilted straw offers all of this. As a flexible, natural product, it adapts to the surface of the existing wall and can be attached to the wall without adhesive. A reinforcement grid enables plaster to be applied quickly.

Phase shift: max. 3.6 h

Straw has a heat storage capacity of 2 kJ/kg*K. Heat is only lost to the outside very slowly. There is a time delay in the heat transfer. With a construction depth of 10 cm, this slowed heat transport corresponds to 3.6 h.

Heat protection in summer

A special feature of straw insulation properties is the heat protection in summer due to its heat storage capacity and amplitude damping. High temperatures are blocked before they penetrate the interior walls. This means that #Qre acts like a natural air conditioning system all year round – not to be neglected in view of rising temperatures and energy prices.

Per m2 stored CO2: max. 10 kg

The production of the renewable raw material straw binds far more CO2 than is needed for transport and further processing. The installed square meter of a #Qre mat with 10 cm construction depth binds 10 kg of emissions into the building structure – just like a CO2 safe.

Quick to install

#Qre can be simply dowelled to the wall. The plaster base mats made of compressed straw can be cut to any size and pushed into place so that even difficult surfaces can be finished.

No disposal costs

#Qre plaster base mats are largely made from renewable straw and are therefore free of harmful substances. This means that there are no disposal costs at the end of the modules’ life (although they can be expected to last for decades if they are installed correctly).

Flexible surface

The high flexibility of the material smoothes out wavy surfaces and the we do not have to be reworked on the construction site. This simplifies construction, saves time and makes installation straightforward.
