Multi-generation-house in Kassel brings back “straw as a building material”

In June, LORENZ delivered wall modules for a multi-story residential project in Kassel.

The building owner is the cooperative “Kassel im Wandel eG”, which has made it the object of its non-profit status to “promote intergenerational living and working”. Over 80 comrades are working together to develop the goal of living communally, across generations and sustainably.

Approximately 100 m2 of DD34 modules from LORENZ production were used for the residential units on the upper floor of the building. This special upper floor did not miss the press thanks to the executive architect Christoph Harney. Among other things, “Die Zeit” reported extensively on building with straw based on this special residential project.
